Adaq, Aqiqah, Sadaqa Offering

Sacrifices and Aqiqah hold an important place in Islamic culture.

Sacrificial Offering: It is obligatory for the person making the sacrifice to perform the sacrifice. If the person has made their sacrifice conditional upon the fulfillment of a condition, they must perform the sacrifice once that condition is fulfilled. The person who made the vow, their relatives (their mother, father, grandparents, children, grandchildren, etc.) cannot eat the meat of the sacrificial animal, nor can they feed it to the rich. If they wish to eat it themselves or feed it to one of the aforementioned people, they must weigh the meat and give its market value to the poor.

Aqiqah Sacrifice: The sacrifice slaughtered for a newborn child as an act of gratitude is called ‘aqiqah’ It is recommended to slaughter an aqiqah sacrifice. The animal to be slaughtered as an aqiqah sacrifice must meet the same conditions as other sacrifices.

Although the Aqiqah sacrifice can be performed from the day the child is born until puberty, it is more virtuous to perform it on the seventh day after birth. Everyone, including the owner of the sacrifice, can benefit from the meat and skin of the Aqiqah sacrifice.

Sacrifice of Gratitude (Shukr): The sacrifices made by those performing the tamattu’ and qiran pilgrimages are also called sacrifices of gratitude because they perform the hajj and umrah together in the same season. Similarly, a person may make a sacrifice of gratitude for achieving a desired goal or receiving a blessing. The owners may also eat the meat of these sacrifices.

IHO EBRAR transforms such acts of worship and recommended practices into significant spiritual projects, enabling its benefactors to multiply their charitable deeds. IHO EBRAR delivers the meat from these sacrifices to orphaned and needy madrasa students who are studying knowledge and wisdom. Thus, by having an akika sacrifice performed in the name of your newborn child, you are doing a charitable deed, and by giving the meat to orphaned and needy students, you are contributing to the development of individuals who are knowledgeable and wise.

You can always make your aqiqah, adaq, and gratitude (Shukr) sacrifices via the online donation form or by contacting our representatives. With Allah’s grace, IHO EBRAR will fulfil your requests immediately.
